How Ben is doing
The games keep track of every letter, number, and shape he is asked about, and bring back the ones he misses more often. This page is that notebook. It lives only on this device.
What gets taught off the screen
PE, handwriting, essays, experiments, making things and more: one printable sheet per subject.
Real-world curriculumOffline for iPhone & iPad
Every page already works with no internet. The voices save the first time they play. This button saves all of them at once: use wifi, keep the screen on and the app open until it finishes.
On iPhone: in Safari tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and use this button from that icon.
This app already has everything built in: every voice and picture works with no internet.
What he sees it called
This is the title on the front page and in the tab. The parent pages and the curriculum library keep the real name.
Right now it says:
The colors
Changes the whole app — the front page and every room. It stays on this device and nothing else changes with it.
Right now:
When the app opens
Opening the app, or coming back after 15 minutes away, drops him straight into this game. Pick "All rooms" to start on the usual screen instead.
Questions:
Arcade question level:
Auto follows the level he has already reached in each room. A grade serves questions from that grade and the ones before it. Nothing locks.
The friend in the corner
Cheers when he gets one right, tilts its head when he does not, and stays out of the way the rest of the time. It is the same six friends who teach in Learn With A Friend, in their own voices, in both languages. Tap one to hear who it is.

Coins
Earned by playing, not by being right — a wrong answer pays the same coin as a right one. They only buy hats and colors for his buddy, never a hint and never a shortcut.

Arcade
The Arcade asks the same questions as his rooms, at his level, inside five little games: a kart race, a jetpack climb, a treasure dig, a tower and a warm-up. A miss never costs him points or breaks his streak; it just earns a hint. Under School first the opening race still runs (its answers count toward the day's missions); the rest of the Arcade waits with the other games until the missions are done.
School — the game gate
Nothing locks. The Missions room is still there, but every game stays open.
Game rooms stay locked until every mission below is done, then open for the rest of the day. The robot, the sticker book, and any room a mission points at never lock.
Missions today
Nothing scheduled today.
Tap a star to mark a table-and-couch mission done. Robot Math, Word Quest and Story Quest check themselves when he finishes in the app.
Mission slots
Where the missions point
Each morning the app picks each mission's room from how he is doing: what he is missing first, then what is half-learned, then the next thing he has not tried. Nothing locks. To choose yourself, pin it here; it stays pinned until you set it back to "Let the app choose".
Math — where he is
Moving up a level goes through the placement test:
Reading, science, builder
Letters
Numbers
Shapes

Save file
Progress saves itself on this device while he plays; nobody has to press anything. The save file is optional: it moves his progress to another computer or into the desktop app, and back.
